Like everyone else I had the same issue with how long the service took but that was paid off, the manager\owner noticed and bought the meal for me and my friends for free. He apologized for the slow service and I believe the place will eventually work great. All of the staff were kind and the tv was entertaining. The food also tasted great in my opinion.

The food is so fresh.clean.been eating their for 20 yes.and yes they are consistent. Leo has been cooking their a life time. Love that guy.yes a 5/5

This is a very unassuming place from the outside, but don't let that fool you. It is a quiet little gem on the inside decorated with old photos of Newfoundland. My wife and I had a "Zachary's Breakfast" here. Mine was with perfectly scrambled eggs, not too wet, not too dry and not rubbery; my wife had fried eggs just the way she likes them. They do a spicy hash brown here that is remarkable, not too hot but with hints of curry and other exotic spices. They were not greasy at all and I didn't mind finishing the whole helping.The coffee was a bit ordinary and needed a bit of sugar to smooth it out but was hot and kept miraculously reappearing in my cup.Our server was lovely and exuded the hospitality we have come to associate with St. Johns.

Breakfast was okay and the updated menu is not online, it was 2$ more expensive when we got there, also the eggs Benedict said that it is served with "cheese sauce" and not hollandaise so I don't know what that means

After leaving Bagel Cafe for lack of service we walked down the road to Zachary's. We were served! Delicious eggs, homemade bread and a dandy touton.

Great spot for breakfast!

Very good food at a decent price but on the day we visited it was very slow and once more people started coming in the coffee refills stopped. Not sure if there was an unexpected surge in clients but it was lunchtime.

If you're from out of town and looking for an authentic local experience, this is a great spot. The staff was beyond friendly and the food was tasty!

My go to place for breakfast in St. John's. Great food - love the toutons, friendly service, and good prices.

Breakfast was only so so here. The Classic diner next door was better for food and coffee. I had the eggs Benedict and my husband had the Western omlet. Not much flavor to the eggs Benedict and it was overcooked. Western omlet came in pieces and not one egg pancake that was folded. Service was a bit slow even though we were the only ones there for a while. Coffee was really watered down.
